GENERAL INFORMATION

MONTANA CANVAS SIDEWALL SEAMS: All 10 oz. canvas tents have 5' seams, 12 oz. canvas tents have 4' seams and blend tents only have seams at the edges/corners.

REAR WINDOW: Rear tent window, if ordered, will be slightly off center to the left, looking at the window from inside the outfitters tent. Window off center to the left is to avoid the seam. Bottom of window is 4' 6" from bottom of tent.

RAIN FLY: Stove jack area is zippered and reinforced with webbing. Relite material- 100% UV protection. Includes ropes, tensioners, stakes/spikes. A rain fly protects the canvas from ultra violet rays, provides another moisture barrier, keeps the canvas roof clean by preventing sap, pitch and dirt from accumulating on the roof when the tent is set up near trees. And most importantly, the fly protects the tent roof from any stove sparks that might land on the canvas which will burn pin holes in the roof.
The fly is an absolute necessity if you have a relite tent with the relite roof. Sparks from the stovepipe will quickly burn pin holes in the roof resulting in leaks.
The fly should rest on the outfitter tent ridge and have a 4-6 inch air gap between the fly and the eave.

YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS ON MOST FLOOR SIZES FOR FLOORS.

A  Montana 10 oz  white vinyl sewn in floor or a Montana 10 oz vinyl stake in floor. Both the Montana sewn in floor and stake in floor have a 5' x 5' cut out on the left front corner as you enter the tent.<
Relite Floor. Sewn in or stake in.
Another floor option is a heavier duty wilderness 18 oz vinyl with no cutout. I prefer a continuous floor, not a cut out.  The cut out allows water and bugs in to your tent. Rich
You can select floor options above.
For non sewn in floors, a relite or vinyl stake in floor can be ordered.

RELITE FLOORS: Relite floors are thin and there is a strong possibility of floor punctures when stepping on sharp objects such as rocks, pieces of branches, etc, that are under the outfitter tent floor area. CLICK to view additional information.

TESTIMONIALS

Received my second Montana Canvas outfitter tent.  Cut the metal tubing for the frame and set it up.  Looks great.  I know it will be great during camping based on using my 12 x 14 in the past. For elk camp this year I will set up the 12 x 14 right in front of the 14 x 17 and use the 12 x 14 for cooking and the 14 x 17 for living quarters.  I know it will be comfortable setup and easy living with your wilderness stove.  I am an experienced camper and the tents are great. Jim

Thanks Tyler.  Just completed my purchase.  Thanks for making this purchase so easy with all your guidance  and recommendations.  Brian

Tent arrived on time today.  I unpacked it and built my frame using your angle kit.  Very easy.  Nice tent.  Thank you. Warren

I have had my Montana Canvas Tent for 10 years.  I bought the tent, angles, fly, floor and Yukon 3 stove.  We  have used it 10 to 15 times a year and we have not had any problems.  I have used it in raging snow storms and rain storms ( we live in western Washington. The Yukon 3 stove works really well.  In the summer my wife calls the tent our "hotel room".

This is the Operator's Manual for current Linux.
Format: Paperback
I recommend this. It is a current edition. If you are new to Linux, you need a solid reference like this, to unleash the Linux potential. Linux has become very friendly in the last few years, and presents a viable option. Don't struggle to learn Linux.

Great confidence booster for dad - techniques can be successfully implemented immediately after birth!
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent book! My husband read this book before our baby was born. Although I found a synopsis to be enough for me (no need to read a whole book for five main techniques), as an engineer, he really liked understanding all of the "whys" behind the methods, and understanding the reasoning gave him more empathy for our baby. My husband started implementing the techniques in this book immediately in the hospital right after the birth, and they really worked! It was extremely helpful for his confidence as a dad and for my confidence in him / us as we started the adventure of parenting (especially when I was recovering from childbirth in those early weeks). We have continued using these techniques for months, and they make a huge difference. Sometimes babies get overly tired and don't even know why they are crying anymore, and these techniques help to soothe quickly to get down for a nap. Truly, I do not know where we would be without a good swaddle and turning our baby on his side while swaddled, because he can be losing it completely and then the swaddle / gentle bounce calms him down very quickly. The one thing I wish the book did mention but does not is that it IS possible for a swaddle to be too tight on the legs - the latest research shows that babies need room to bend and straighten their legs for safe growth of their hips, so it's ok to do a fairly tight swaddle such that their arms cannot escape, but there does need to be slack at the feet.

SAVED MY SANITY!!!
Format: Paperback
I don't know why I didn't leave a review on this book as soon as I finished reading it! My daughter was quiet for the first week home from the hospital, but along came week two and around 8 pm one night she began to cry, and this time it was different, we literally could not get her to stop. She cried until around 4 am, and I was terrified that we had a year of colic crying ahead of us, but prayed it was just a fluke and that the next night things would be different. However, 8 pm rolled around, the crying began, and we had a repeat of a night full of inconsolable crying. I had never felt such all encompassing exhaustion in my entire life and I just prayed that there was a book that would have answers for me. So the next morning I took to Amazon and began my search. After reading reviews I decided to give this book a try - the length was perfect, thank you Harvey for getting straight to the point and telling us exactly what we needed to know! I was able to implement the S's the following evening at 8 pm when the crying began and I believed with every fiber of my being that it was going to work - AND IT DID!!! Simulating the womb experience was exactly what my daughter needed to soothe her overstimulated little newborn nervous system and she calmed down in less than a minute and fell into a blissful sleep that lasted until her next feeding, after which we repeated the process and she was asleep again. She was sleeping through the night after a couple of months, and we continued to use Harvey's method until eventually she didn't seem to need it anymore. This book was a lifesaver, I have given it as a gift at every baby shower I've attended since I first discovered it, and I'll continue to give it as long as I live!! This book could just as easily be called Happiest Parents on the Block - I am so very grateful that I found it when I did!
